This pretty spiral rope necklace is handwoven using tiny seed beads and bugle beads in shades of matte aqua blue with accents of silver and dark blue/green iris. Its hollow structure makes it surprisingly lightweight despite its thickness. But it is also robust as it is stitched using the strongest tensile strength of Fireline braided beading thread. It is finished with a plated silver clasp and extension chain. I use plated silver as it seems less inclined to tarnish than sterling silver but I am happy to change these fittings to sterling silver at extra cost if required.
The necklace is approximately 45cms (17.5ins) long; 51cms (20ins) with the extension chain and about 1cm (3/8”) in diameter.
The necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard box for safe travel.
This item is in my sale section because I have reduced the price by 20%. It is not faulty in any way but I am putting it in my sale because it has been in my shop for some time and needs to be moved on to a nice new home.
The stitch used in this necklace is called Russian Spiral. This piece was inspired by a tutorial from Cara Landry at Simple Bead Patterns, Dragonfly Lane who give permission for items made from their patterns to be sold.
