Retro/vintage superhero chest of six drawers with annie sloan chalk paint in red.

This is an upcycled piece that I far restored and finished. The superhero print is decoupage which is set off against a chalk paint background.

It is a very sturdy piece and built to last (unlike modern furniture!) so not only are you buying a unique, hand finished piece you are also getting a solid piece of furniture that will outlast any Swedish/Argos style items.

My courier prices are from £29 depending on location in the UK. Please send a message with your postcode and I will get you an accurate quote. Folksy does not give me an option for variable postage so I have selected £50 for the purpose of completing the section.

My passion is making the old new again. Old furniture was made to last, the quality far exceeds what is available (at the same prices as my pieces) today. I found this solid Ercol style chest of drawers in a local junk shop. It was uninspiring and to be completely truthful - ugly. But so sturdy I knew it had many years left in it yet. I have been thinking about using decoupage for a while and when I came across this gorgeous print I knew this was the piece I wanted to use it on. Plain wooden knobs have been finished to match. I love it, my husband wants to keep it, it got the seal of approval from my daughter, now I am hoping it gets its new home!
