SALE ITEM - previously listed at £18 then £14, now £10.

This book clock is made by repurposing a hardback copy of Ancient Monuments 2: Southern England from 1966.

The book measures approximately 12.5cm x 19cm. It is designed to be hung on a wall but can also be stood on a shelf or table using the stand supplied with it.

The clock has a quartz movement which is operated using a standard AA 1.5V battery (sorry this is not supplied as Royal Mail prohibit batteries to be posted outside their packaging and I cannot find a packaged single AA battery).

The clock and stand are supplied packaged in a box making it suitable to give as a gift.

This is an upcycled item so the book will not be in pristine condition. Signs of wear to the covers are an indication of the journey the book has been on with previous owners.

Handcrafted items from The Forgotten Library seek to create new treasures from abandoned vintage books, magazines and other paper or library themed ephemera. Every piece is unique.

The picture of the box, insert and stand is a standard stock photograph as the same style of box is used for each clock. If you are looking closely at the image you may notice the book title is different, don't worry your clock will be correctly boxed and labeled.

Some of the books I've converted into clocks have been topographical with maps of regions as their cover design. One customer once commented on how they liked the local reference but the design was too busy to display in their room so when I spotted this simple cover design with a geographical reference I knew I wanted to work with the volume.
