This sculptural and organic neck piece makes a sophisticated statement. The central "bead" is fashioned from a short length of driftwood that has been sculpted by both it's original growth patterns and the sea. I have continued this process with files and sandpaper, to bring out it's underlying form. The colours and shapes of the cord and beads I have combined it with accentuate it's organic, sea worn essence.
Different colours etc.
I make my pieces as one offs but can usually make similar things in different colour schemes, though probably not exactly identical. I can also vary the length of necklaces and bracelets. Because I use upcycled materials I can rarely get exactly the same beads again once I have used them up, though some things, such as black or clear crystal, vintage, faceted beads do turn up fairly regularly. However I have an immense collection of materials so will usually be able to make something that gives a similar effect. I am very happy to make sets of things, e.g. for bridesmaids. Please contact me to ask.
I am concerned about the environment and upcycle as many of my materials as possible. All the beads and feature materials that I use will be recycled, and some are vintage or antique. However, some of the findings and all of the stringing materials will be new, as I think it is important to prioritise making things that will withstand heavy wear for quite a long time.
My inspiration mostly comes from the materials I use. I love driftwood, and combing the seashore to find it. With driftwood I let the individual piece of wood suggest how I then use it to make jewellery.

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
Postage policy. I use a signed for postal service for orders over £30, and standard U.K. parcel post or airmail for overseas shipping on smaller orders. However if you prefer to use signed for mail for smaller orders, for extra piece of mind, I can do this. It costs an extra £1.10p within the U.K., an extra £5 for the E.U., and an extra £5.40p for the rest of the world. Likewise, if you wish to take the risk of unconfirmed mail for larger orders, just deduct the signed for service charge. By default I use airmail for overseas orders, but if you would prefer I can send your jewellery by surface mail which is better for the environment. It is also cheaper but reputedly takes a long time.
