'Honesty' (black) is an original linocut, hand-printed in an open edition. Perfect for Christmas gifts, this linocut was created at the same time as the 'Poppy-tops' linocut, shown above. Great Christmas stocking filler.
After carving each lino block, 'Honesty' was hand-printed on fine art paper, Somerset 250 gsm, with hand-mixed professional printmaking inks. Each print is an original work of art hand-printed, signed and dated by the artist, Fiona Humphrey, and then mounted in a custom made gallery mount, with backing board, ready to slip into a frame (8x6"/ a5x20cm).
Linocuts are original prints and are not reproductions (eg giclee prints which are reproductions not originals). Each print takes time, care and skill to produce and carries the touch of the artist's hand and can take weeks to carve, proof and finally print in stages allowing each colour layer to dry. Minor variations occur naturally through the printmaking process and each print is an individual artwork to cherish.
This print comes mounted but does not include the frame.
Each print is board-backed, wrapped in cellophane and packaged carefully for shipping.
