This is my hand built log store. Built from part reclaimed wood, part new and pressure treated feather edge board. It is amazingly sturdy, unlike the shockingly fragile things you get from garden centres. Roughly the same size as a Smeg fridge freezer, so 0.8m square at the base, and 1.25m high. I've left it a natural colour as this is quite attractive.

Does not come with the logs, and delivery is free within 20 miles of RH1 - no post on this one as it is too big for Postie and his bicycle. Or you can collect and admire my little collection. Comes in two parts so easily fits into a hatchback car.

I tinker by nature, so may well paint the inside of this one black in the Dungeness fisherman's hut style.

We installed a log burner in 2013. Since then I've been obsessed with the collection of logs, the drying of logs, and the look of logs. Possibly some cave man thing I have going; provide for my family and all that.

Looking in the garden centres at their wood stores, their were all horridly expensive, poorly built, and shockingly fragile. Most were £300, which was way too much for me.

I don't do expensive; I don't do fragile, and I certainly don't do ugly. So I made my own up, and was happy.

Then people started to notice them. How nice they look! One person offered me £160 for one. I took their money and thanked them profusely!

Hence the idea was spawned in my head that just perhaps, just perhaps, there's a market out there. I'd love to sell this, really would, but if I have to keep it forever I'd still be happy.
