A beautifully hand decorated cake stand/cheese board.
This unique cake stand is created by recycling terracotta plant pot and saucer. It is decorated with "Cath Kidson English Rose white" napkins, using the decoupage technique. A solution of PVA glue and water is applied to the pot and stand, pieces of napkin are then carefully adhered.
This lovely piece is finished with a crystal clear varnish making it extremely hard wearing.
25cm diameter
13cm height, (ideal for 20cm cake).
Hand wash only and avoid prolonged soaking.
I recommend using a plate on the saucer and a glass or plastic insert for the pot in order to preserve the decoration of this lovely stand.
Please note each cake stand is unique and hand-made to order.

I am very keen on recycling objects, many of which would otherwise end up in landfill.
These terracotta pots and saucers were in the shed doing nothing. I started to put one on top the other, stacking and simply putting objects in them, when suddenly the cake stand sprung to mind.
Firstly I painted them, this was fine but a splash of colour was required, the decoupage then came into play and I think the result is gorgeous.
