This postcard features a print of my Clockwork Barn Owl illustration, part of a series of illustrations on my steampunk inspired fictional town called Hexley.

Postcards are great for sending but also an affordable way to collect my art, you could even frame it or hang on a line like in one of the photos.

This listing is for one postcard, without an envelope. If you would like to buy this postcard with a brown kraft envelope please contact me for a custom listing. (A postcard with an envelope costs £1.70)

My illustration has been printed onto thick, sustainably sourced card (acid and lignin free) with a lovely glossy finish on the image side. The back is lightly coated with a faint satin finish, ready for you to write your message on!

The postcard measures 4.13 x 5.82 inches (10.5 x 14.8cm) and comes packaged in a clear polypropylene bag.
It will be posted with a card stiffener in a padded envelope and 'Please do not bend' written across to ensure that it arrives safely.

The story behind the illustration...
Hexley is a centre for science and discovery, set in Victorian England it is from a past that never was. Edwin Cracknell creates clockwork birds in his steam powered workshop in the town of Hexley. His first noctural mechanical bird is the Barn Owl. With it's recognisable mask like face it is a beautiful clockwork specimen with an accurate, though somewhat startling, shrill cry.
