As with everything I make, this card came from a desire to use materials that would otherwise be discarded.
The bottle is made from my extremely large Eighties shirt. I never had it off my back when I was sixteen (eeek, thirty years ago), and it accompanied me to Newcastle City Hall on many, many occasions. I have had some good times in that shirt.
The red cross is from my old work uniform.
The blue lid is my daughter’s old monsoon skirt, which came to us via a charity shop. She would’ve worn this skirt every day. It had a huge sparkly butterfly on it.
The white square was taken from my son’s old school shirt.
I wanted to find food packaging with a plainish background. So, we have, Waitrose Oatcakes.
