This is a unique piece of studio pottery which has been made using red earthenware clay and fired to 1150 degrees. This vase has been entirely handmade using very thin layers of clay which are built up to create the form. The inside is decorated with a layer of creamy white slip and a clear glaze. The outside is left rough and is textured in comparison to show a contrast in the clay surfaces. This piece is part of my current gallery collection of archeologically inspired work.
The vase is 17cm tall and 17cm wide
All my work is very carefully packaged and where possible I use recycled packaging. Collection is possible from my gallery in Lymington in the New Forest by arrangement
