I have carried all my 4 children in baby slings when they were babies and have tried many different types of baby carriers, this style is my favourite. Welsh Women used to carry their babies in woollen shawls, this is a modern version with the addition of an aluminium ring to make it easy to adjust and get the baby in and out. Using a sling enables you to meet your babies need to be held while having your hands free to do other things. I love these slings, you can look at your baby and have a chat, baby can hold a toy in there, you can even breastfeed. When baby goes to sleep, you can pull the back of the sling over their head to shelter them and support them. The tail can be used to protect baby from the wind ,rain or sun. If I nip outside and its raining I just drape the tail over her head and she is sheltered.
