Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
Kelvingrove was designed by Sir John W. Simpson and opened in 1901. This iconic west end landmark is home to a world renowned art collection and is the most visited museum in the United Kingdom out with of London.
Glasgow City Chambers
Glasgow City Chambers was built around 1888 and designed by Scottish architect WIlliam Young. This flagship building in George Square is now the headquarters of Glasgow City Council.
Glasgow Mitchell Library
The Mitchell Library with it’s very distinctive Minerva statue, Goddess of wisdom, and large copper dome was built by bequest of a wealthy tobacco baron. The library now provides over 1.2million reference volumes.
I created these illustrations using a keyline, cross hatch, linear approach with old style typography contributing to the antique feel.
All four prints arrive together and complete with mount, backing board and protective sleeve using Royal Mail Signed For.
