The original watercolour painting can be seen at the William Morris Gallery. It was a design for a tapestry sofa cover. The sofa cover was produced by John Henry Dearle and William Morris & Co in approximately 1910, after William Morris' death.

Quote by William Morris -
"Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful and believe to be beautiful."

The Arts and Crafts Movement began in Britain around 1880 and quickly spread to America, Europe and Japan. Inspired by the ideas of John Ruskin and William Morris.
