An original pair of 1964 British lucky sixpence coin cufflinks. The coins are mounted on silver plated cufflink bases and come boxed.
The British sixpence or 'tanner' was legal tender between 1658 and 1967 so this is a chance to own a slice of history. The coin is made from Curpo-Nikel weighs approx 2.8g and has a diameter of 19mm.
Lucky sixpences are a traditional British bridal offering:
and a sixpence for her shoe
making these cufflinks a lucky wedding gift or wedding favour.
Each pair of cufflinks comes with a small fact card that fits in the box. This gives a few facts from the year the coins are dated and can be personalised on the front with a name and birthdate or to... from...
Please note the facts supplied will be about the UK but if you require info from another country instead please email me
I love the personalised aspect of old coins so make a range of coin items suitable for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, remembrances etc. Included with the cufflinks is a small fact card giving a small snap shot of the year they were minted.
