A 'old school becomes cool' desk with drop down lid suitable for a boy or girl.

This gorgeous old desk was a junk shop find, it was lying unloved in the corner of a local junk shop covered in childrens scribbles and had suffered a few bumps and bruises along its way! After a little TLC and a new finish this lovely little desk is ready to inspire a future Enid Blyton, JK Rowling or indeed Quentin Blake! It might encourage the little one in your life to complete homework on time (just might, no promises!)

The desk has been finished in a pale green eggshell that is durable and resistant to general kiddie wear and tear. The back strip (pencil holder area) of the desk has been left stripped back to pine as has the inside. Here a few faint marks remain. This helps to add to the vintage feel of the piece. It is not brand new. It has received use. It has had children sitting at it, creating stories, drawing pictures, plotting to become the worlds greatest detective and building lego mansions. We like that. For that reason we kept a piece of its history and blended it into its future. Very understated and subtle but very there.

We believe in vintage and upcycling. We stand for making old new, lovable and modern. This is a big ask but entirely possible. We take beautiful old pieces from various eras and of various styles and bring them bang up to date.

When we saw this lovely old school desk just sitting there, unloved, in a local junk shop we knew we could make it a favourite again. This is a little place where dreams are made. The place where creativity starts and productivity happens. And so, it has been reworked and is ready and waiting to become part of a new little persons memories.
