This unusual brooch will add an elegant touch to your outfit. It is recycled from a fragment of a vintage china plate. I enjoy selecting the individual sections that will work well as a small piece separated from their original whole, and find giving a new use to something broken or discarded, very satisfying.
Have you recently broken a favourite piece of old china and would like a piece of jewellery made from a fragment. It can be a nice way of rescuing some thing that you really liked or had sentimental value. I can make brooches, pendants or earrings; please contact me to ask.
I found an old, china plate in a charity shop, and thought it would be good for making brooches.

Eco info. I am concerned about the environment and upcycle as many of my materials as possible. All the beads and feature materials that I use will be recycled, and some are vintage or antique. However, some of the findings and all of the stringing materials will be new, as I think it is important to prioritise durability. I normally pack brooches in tissue and a jiffy bag so that they can go by letter post and minimise postage costs. However I can use a gift box, but would have to use parcel post which is more expensive. If you would like your brooch in a gift box, please ask. I use standard UK postage and standard airmail for orders under £30. However if you prefer confirmed mail for extra piece of mind I can do this; just ask me. By default I use airmail for overseas orders, but if you would prefer I can send your jewellery by surface mail which is better for the environment. It is also cheaper but reputedly takes a long time.
