A beautiful Summer's day. The sea is calm and glittering in the sunlight. The perfect place for a relaxing retreat x

The background is wet felted with Merino wool and silk. The Beach Hut is appliquéd onto the background. Hand embroidered flowers in plant pots complete the scene.

This one has been personalised with the embroidered word 'Mum'. Silk fibres add lustre to the water.

The painting is available to order. Colours can be changed and the personalised word.

It comes mounted on 5x7" white acid free mount board, ready for framing. (The frame shown is not included).

I love to create country and coastal scenes by painting with wool. Sometimes these are further embellished with hand embroidery. It is so exciting to see how the finished painting comes alive in the felting process. Each creation is unique and the more you look at it the more detail appears. The process adds so much movement and texture. As my paintings are intended to be framed under glass I don't felt them completely flat. Thus once framed they retain a subtle 3D appearance. I hope you enjoy them as much as I take pleasure making them x
