Sycamore is a lovely wood to turn and carve but can be a little bland. By scorching the surface and then carving through to the creamy inside the real beauty of the underlying wood is really given the opportunity to shine. Weighing in at approx. 1.5kg this bowl has a chunky feel which is really quite contemporary.
