Frostine lives above the haberdashery which she runs with her daughter Celestine, (more on Celestine soon). Frostine's favourite time of year in Perigord is the winter as this is truffle season. Frostine has quite a name for herself in the Ville as the best truffle snuffler for miles. She sells the truffles at the Marche du Nôel each year and uses the proceeds to buy the best cheese from Monsieur Clochette at his Fromagerie stall. Every Christmas eve Frostine and Celestine feast on Cabécou and Chaumes drizzled with truffle oil and washed down with fizzy apple cidre. They then settle down to do their knitting, watching the winter moonlight sparkle on the frosty rooftops of the Ville and the frozen river below.
