These dresses are designed to fit average-sized mothers and daughters in the Sylvanian (© acknowledged Flair Ltd), Forest Families and Calico Critters families. Their gorgeous full skirts decorated with traditional lace and other decorative stitches will delight collectors and young children alike.

Mother Badger's Snow White style dress has a delicate white petticoat underneath, attached to the dress at the waist. The remaining designs are each worked in one piece: the '50s lacy dress has integral sleeves, avoiding seams,while the two ‘Mary Quant’ striped dresses harken back to the ’60s era. An additional pattern is given, not shown in picture above: a little ’70s Smock finished with a lazy-daisy motif..

A selection of the items are available as ready-mades or a kit.

For most of the dresses you will need 2mm needles and 3ply or 4ply yarn. The Snow White dress needs 1.5mm needles and very thin 1ply yarns.

My first outfits for Sylvanians were predominently for the male doll and I needed to dress their ladies. I have a hankering for the flared and full dresses of the '50s and so I started with the yellow dress. Then the '60s and '70s just had to be represented too!
