DUE TO ILL HEALTH I HAVE NOW RETIRED FROM SEWING BOOK AND BIBLE COVERS.
MANY THANKS TO ALL MY PAST CUSTOMERS AND TO FOLKSY.
This is a one off book cover using one of my unused panels of vintage kimono cotton.
The background colour is a dark indigo, almost black, with large areas of white.
The blue, yellow and black flowers and red Hibiscus are stencilled on in a striking design that looks almost Hawaiian in nature.
I have lined the book cover with a lightweight vintage kimono cotton in shades of yellow and gold, with pink, cream and teal flowers.
Both fabrics are vintage and date from the 1960's or 1970's. There are some age marks on the fabrics, which I have been unable to remove. These do not spoil the design in any way.
