An original hand cut and pressed lino print of traditional Catalan dancers, dancing under the plane trees of Place Pablo in the small town of Ceret, France.

Each one printed by hand and signed by the artist.
This is a limited edition print run of 50. The print shown is no.12/50.

A single colour print in black on 200gsm textured paper.

Most years I have travelled to a small Catalan town called Ceret in the foothills of the Pyrenees Orientals, France. It is the most beautiful and vibrant place full of artists, musicians and creative people. This area of southern France/Northern Spain is home to a traditional dance known as the Sardane which is danced to the music of a 'Cobla Orchestra'. It is a dance that has intrigued me for years, watching the dancers with their arms held high, dancing on tiptoes to the unusual rythym of the music under the plane trees of this beautiful place is something I will never tire of.
