Description

A stunning little vase, handthrown on the wheel and fired to 1300 degrees centigrade in a Japanese-designed, wood kiln. A dark red slip was applied underneath the shino, which adds an extra dimension in terms of depth and colour. The piece measures just under four inches tall and approx. 3.5 inches wide. As is traditional with Japanese pottery, fingermarks have been left to show the action of dipping the pot into glaze. Mark Smalley's personal symbol has been impressed to the base.

UK postage and packing for this item will be at a fixed cost of £2.90. Overseas customers are very welcome to contact me for a personalised shipping quotation.
