Item details

This piece is a solid sterling silver pendant, curved front and back with a cross hatched textured surface on both sides. The edge is polished to mirror finish to contrast the soft texture on the front/back. Inspiration taken from shells and pebbles found and collected around the Island I live on. Collecting shells and pebbles has always been and still is a must on every beach walk aroung the Island.

It is made from sheet silver the two parts are individually pressed into the shell like form then both sides are soldered together to create a piece which is substantial, without the excess weight if it was completely solid. The piece measures 24mm (w) x 55mm (l) x 11mm (d) the piece weighs 12.gms. The chain supplied is an 16inch 2mm neck wire chain, alternative lengths and styles of chains are available on request. Both chain and piece are fully hallmarked. The piece comes boxed in a wooden presentation box, with care instructions enclosed. Postage costs to UK are special delivery which includes insurance.

Living on an Island naturally I draw my inspiration from the natural surroundings. One of my favourite places to be is walking on the beach, each pebble or shell completly unique and amazing. Looking at naural shapes has always been a facination, this piece is inspired by the shells I found on the beach near my house, the cross hatched texture represents the journey each shell takes being washed to shore.
