Stoneware pottery teapot glazed in midnight blue. Handmade Stoneware Pottery by littlewrenpottery on Folksy.
My mum always says that there's nothing like a cup of strong tea brewed in a real teapot, where the flavours and aroma of either bagged or loose leaf tea can mingle and develop.
This teapot was hand thrown on my potters wheel in three parts with durable white stoneware clay. First I made the body of the teapot with it's distinctive stout rotund shape great for brewing tea, then the high pointed spout for providing a steady flow, and finally the inset lid.
When all the pieces were firm enough I attached them together along with a sturdy pulled handle. The teapot is glazed in midnight blue which has a dramatic navy colour breaking to dark brown where the glaze is thinner and a gloss finish to the touch.
It's flat bottom will sit firmly on your kitchen counter and has been hand stamped with the Little Wren Pottery seal. This teapot will hold 800 ml of water
This teapot can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The teapot is 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in diameter and 4.7 inches (12 cm) in height.
As much as I love our furry friends this piece was created in a pet free and smoke free studio.
I post out all my items Royal Mail first class parcel post which can take 1 - 2 days or standard airmail for international orders which takes 5 days.
