The Green Man is a leaf mask of a man's face, a motif carved in stone and wood in Gothic cathedrals and churches. Today he represents the life force of Nature to many people. This representation is handmade in hallmarked sterling silver, embellished with silver charms and semi-precious stones. On one side he is flanked by a bird and and oak leaf, and on the other side by a tiny hare and an oak leaf. Part of the chain is handmade. Stones used in this example are Peridot, Green Cracked Quartz, Green Agate and pretty faceted grass-green glass, to echo the differing shades of green in our mossy British woods. Stones used in further orders may vary. This may take 2-3 weeks to make and hallmark, ask me re availablity. The lead-in time for this order may vary from 1 - 4 weeks as I may have one made up but in another location. Contact me for details. Comes to you in a gift box. I loved the "Omnibus" documentary which introduced me to the theme of the Green Man, and the related book by William Anderson and Clive Hicks, which I can recommend. On one level it was like being reminded of something rather than being a new discovery. I have embroidered the Green Man many times, now it was his turn to be immortalised in silver!
