This is a detailed written knitting pattern in pdf format for a Sock Monkey hat.
I decided to design this Sock Monkey hat at the request of one of my daughter's friends. It is worked flat on two needles. I have used seed stitch for the earflaps and brim, garter stitch for the intarsia mouth, ears and crown and stocking stitch for the main body. The photograph shows the hat modelled by my 15 year old daughter.
100% wool DK or a wool/acrylic mix DK. I used Stylecraft Life DK, however you could use any alternative yarn that knits to the same tension/gauge.
DK/8 ply (11 wpi)
22 stitches and 30 rows equals 10cm/4 inches using 4mm/US 6 needles over st st.
The garment is knitted using two needles.
There are no postage costs - the pattern will be emailed as a pdf file within 48 hours of payment being received, to the email address registered with Folksy unless you let me know otherwise.
