Many of my original paintings have been photographed to provide a selection of giclee prints.
Much of the photography of original work took place before digital photography had developed such sophistication. Many of the prints were originally photographed using a traditional camera with film. The film was then outsourced to another company to scan the images onto compact disc. The photographer and I then met a week later to work and adjust the picture to get to the most accurate image to the original as possible. The CD was then sent to the fine art printers for reproduction, eventually after exchange of proofs the first images were printed. On later discussion with a graphic designer/animator there was suggestion of the idea of colour manipulation of the image to offer alternative colour waves. This all happened in 2005.
