Item details

A glass vessel, hand crafted with mixed coloured glass nuggets which are cold fused to the outer surface and finished with a black grout.

The effect from this light is stunning when lit, as the convex shape of the glass throws the light out at angles, (in a similar way that a crystal does), more than the flatter glass type, throwing more light patterns onto surfaces.

The vessel measures approximately 100mm diameter and 90mm high.

The item sent may vary slightly from the one pictured, as each is idividual. The colour combinaions used & spacings will differ in each vessel.
It will be posted out in a sturdy box and packaged well to ensure safe delivery.

I love the way the colours all stand out against black, and I wanted to try something a bit different with the idea, possibly with a modern twist.

I also love the way that the more 3D surfaces of the glass nuggets send the colour not only out but to the sides too, giving out that little more coloured light than the more traditional mosaic vessels.

The glass nuggets also give the vessel a more tactile feel and you can't help but fondle it!!

The sheer amount of glass involved makes this item a substanitally weighty piece, which could easily double as a paperweight.

It would make a beautiful addition to a dinner table as a centerpiece for the candle, or even a cluster of these with a couple of the other mixed coloured mosaic vessels with candles and possibly flowers, as this vessel is also watertight allowing it to have a dual purpose.
