Item details

Made from soft fleece, these little shoes are hand stitched in a contrasting coloured thread with a blanket stitch edging and decorative tiny button detail added. Made in a moccassin style, with an elastic section at the front overlap to aid the fitting of the shoe.

Suited to babies approximately aged 0-3 months. The shoes themselves measure approximately 10cm from toe to heel.
To give a guide as to fit, allow a little of that length for stitching seam & wriggle room, so ideally no larger a foot than 8-9cm, although being fleece they do stretch as they grow!

They are made from a deep fuschia pink fleece with a warm golden coloured stitching, and golden orange contrasting buttons.

I wanted to make a simple shoe that wouldn't cost the earth to make or to buy, is easy to care for but still bright and fun. We all know the feeling of getting home to find baby's shoe missing! Even worse if they were very expensive to purchase.

I designed this pattern based upon an old moccassin style shoe made in leather I remember from years ago.

With its hand stitched detail and simplicity, it is perfect to keep those little toes warm in the cooler evenings, and even to be used as a slipper in the home for those learning to toddle about in a larger size.
