This is an original watercolour painting of The Angel of the North, that I was fortunate to visit earlier this year.
Painted with Winsor and Newton paints and on good quality watercolour paper.
The painting measures approx 52cm x 33.5cm and has an unpainted boarder around it to help with mounting
The painting comes unmounted and unframed

I visited The Angel of the North ( a sculpture by Anthoney Gormley, in Gateshead ) earlier this year and I was very inspired to paint it. One of the things I liked was the construction of these huge metal plated that formed the sculpture , so I wanted to show these in detail.
On the same trip I also went to Sea mills, near Bradford where I saw some fabulous David Hockney work. Having seen his recent Yorkshire landscapes this inspired me to paint the fields in the background in a sort of David Hockney style.
