A bouquet of 3 rich wine red ribbon flowers woven from cotton/rayon ribbon, each perfectly finished with an orange button centre.
My quirky artificial flowers will brighten up any corner; a bouquet of these flowers would make a lovely gift or a great addition to your handmade wedding.
I make these fabric flowers on a handmade wooden flower loom using beautiful ribbon yarns. Each flower has a different button centre and is securely stitched to a green fabric wrapped stem. The stem is quite flexible and can be bent or even wrapped around something. The weight of the flower head gives the stem a nice natural curve when they are displayed in a vase.
The flowers are 3" (7.5cm) across and the stems are 9" (23cm) long (measurements are approximate). As the flowers are all individually handmade yours may differ slightly from the photographs shown.
I created my first ffflower when I was experimenting with my set of vintage flower looms; I added a button centre and a stem to my flower and decided I really liked the result.
Now I create a range of quirky artificial flowers from all sorts of different materials, ranging from beautiful ribbons hand-dyed in the UK, to novelty yarns, and even upcycled plastic packaging.
