Hand knotted scoobie keyring or bag charm in blue and pink octopus shape.

Hollow plastic scoubidou strands are woven together to create intricate patterns. This design uses blue and pink strands to make a rectangular body. The strands separate into eight legs, each finished with a knot. A metal split ring with snake chain is incorporated into the design, so this can be used as a keyring or bag charm.

I first made these 'scoobies' when helping in a school craft club. I found them weirdly addictive and had to take mine home to finish. Before I knew it, I was trawling the internet for bags of the things and ideas for what else I could make with them.

They are very realxing to make and its amazing how the projects take on a life of their own once I start knotting, frequently ending up very different from my original idea.
