Hand sewn tiny baby shoes, made in moccasin style from a suede effect fabric with a fur lined reverse, which has been embroidered prior to cutting out.

These tiny little shoes measure approximately 9cm long so would suit a baby up to around 8cm foot length. I believe this would be a baby of approximately 5-7lbs depending on your baby, as we all know they vary so much, and grow so quickly that the best bet would be to measure their foot, or if you’ve a squirmer, measure a shoe/bootee that already fits ok, to compare & gauge if they will fit.

I only have these in this style and size as they’re made from spare fabric from another project, but its too nice and snugly to leave cluttering a drawer.
These will definitely keep your babies toes warm in the colder months, I can’t help but squidge my fingers into them every time I pick them up, they’re so soft & warm!

I enjoy making small items that don’t take lots of time between larger projects. Baby items are perfect for this need, and as they don’t take as long as the larger projects the satisfaction of a finished items arrives that bit quicker!
Plus they tend to take such a small amount, I can make baby items from the smaller pieces of georgeous fabric left from larger projects that are too nice to throw out, so no wastage, especially these tiny newborn or preemie baby items!

Luckily I have plenty of family & friends with babies & children so I can test what might be popular, and as they always get 1st pick of most items I make I’m usually the favourite aunty!
Although if I do find a style that's a hit with my family & friends, I do make a few of them. And I do mean I only a few! I prefer to adapt items to keep them fresh rather than repeating the same items over, so I only ever make a few of each item/size before moving onto the next project, meaning that most are as good as one offs.
