The Alhambra Palace is a cool oasis set away from the scorching heat of Granada, and these earrings are the colour of the tiles that line this luxurious haven.

Each earring is approx. 5mm across and 3mm deep and come with sterling backs.
I started by making a small cup from fine and sterling silver and then soldering a sterling silver post to the back.
I then cleaned, filed and polished each one by hand.
To inject some colour I have been experimenting with many different materials, but found polymer clay to give the intensity of colour that makes the earring 'pop'.
The silver cup was flooded with coloured clay and heat sealed before setting the silver around it and filing back to a matte finish.

Avoid directly exposing to oil-based products, hair spray and perfume.

Avoid exposure to excessive amounts of water and direct sunlight or they may fade over time.

Clean using a damp cloth, or if neccessary use mild soap and luke warm water, and dry before storing.

Do not wear in the shower, bath or pool.
