Description

This work is a photograph of a statue in the garden of Charleston farmhouse - lived in by Vanessa Bell from 1916 and frequented by her sister, the writer Virginia Woolf and many important visitors connected to the Bloomsbury Group, including T. S. Eliot, E. M. Forster, Roger Fry and Lytton Strachey. Much of the house was decorated by members of the Bllomsbury groups with murals and patterns. The garden was also decorated and adorned - this statue is one of many classical statues.

This fine art photograph by David Rhys Jones is professionally printed on archival photographic paper that has a matt finish in an edition fixed at 30. The work is offered un-framed and will be protected with an acetate sleeve and posted flat in sturdy packaging that will not bend. The watermark will not be present on the print that you receive.

David Rhys Jones has exhibited widely, including The V&A Museum, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Courtauld Institute. He was joint winner of the Jerwood Prize in 2010, and his work is held in many private and public collections, including the Tate.
