In a far-away land of myths and magic, a faerie flies amongst the woodland flowers.
This sweet little fairy hangs with a violet tagua nut pendant from purple coloured faux suede and is fastened with a pretty tibetan silver toggle clasp.
The tagua nut comes from the tree of the same name growing deep in the Amazon rain forest. It produces a fruit with a large seed which is very much like ivory and is dyed and used to make jewellery, buttons and carved objects. This supports the employment of indeginous people as well as providing a sustainable alternative to ivory. As a natural product each tagua nut pendant is unique.
This pendant is light and easy to wear.
It is approx 47cm long, the tagua pendant is 5cm, and the necklace hangs approx 28cm.
Mystic Faerie will wing her way to you wrapped in tissue paper and tucked into a pretty organza bag.
The mystical nature of the tagua nut brought to mind tales of folk lore and my imagination took me to a magical woodland filled with mischievious faeries.
