Pottery Shard jewelry - Rabbit Pendant with Silver Chain
Love this

Description

This little rabbit pendant features a shard of textured white pottery, which I found in the Thames (London).

Most of the pieces of pottery I have found in the river are between 100 and 200 years old, but some are medieval or even Roman! This piece is probably over 100 years old at least. Each piece is unique, and each item made will be one of a kind. I love the fact that each piece of pottery is a little bit of hand made history.

The textured pieces inspired me the most, and I immediately saw little animals with fur or spikes...

The rabbit is hand pierced out of copper. The pottery shard has been set in a strip of scalloped fine silver, and the chain, bail and clasps are all sterling silver. They have all been oxidised to a rich black, then sealed with jewellers wax to protect the finish.

Dimensions:
Pendant is 1.5 inches wide, 0.75 inches tall (3.5 x 2 cm)
Chain is 18 inches (46 cm)

If you would like a slightly longer or shorter chain, please contact me.

Last picture shows this item with some other pieces I have made, but this listing is for the rabbit only.

All my items will be sent in a gift box with my logo.

Thanks for looking!
