These were new old stock and look fantastic. Of note; the Griffon engine was fitted to later marks of Spitfire/Seafire, Firefly and the Shackleton.\r\nEight aluminium pieces were machined to bring it all together. A piece of oak was treated and lacquered and I think this really contrasts well with the polished aluminium. Rose joints and a  stainless steel rod supports the oil lines. Black and white braided cable (running up the centre of one of the lines) adds to the vintage look. A standard B22 bulb holder is fitted and the lamp comes supplied with two different types of bulb; one is a clear LED and the other is a flicker/candle type (which fits in well with the Spitfire theme).\r\nI realise this isn't a cheap lamp, but I think it was worth the time and money to make it and will hopefully make someone very happy.
