A block of solid aluminium starts off the base and this was then framed in steel - this gives it a lovely weighted feel. The arm is five sections of tig welded steel with turned ally fittings to guide the cable.\r\nA genuine surplus aircraft light has been modified to run a led bulb. The steelwork has been sprayed and painted to look rustic/rusty, not a quick process to do but I'm chuffed at how this came out! The colour was a custom mix but I can best describe it as duck egg green.\r\nGrey braided cable runs to a inline on/off switch. The light itself does tilt slightly from side to side to give you adjustment. The base has cork affixed to protect your surfaces. I do feel it could work well in a multitude of settings.
