The pockets are arranged sequentially in the order of numbers 1 to 24, starting from the top left hand corner.\n\nEach pocket measures a generous 3.75\" (9.5cm) square and all of the pockets are mounted onto a red and gold backing. The day numbers are hand written with gold and red ink.\nI have sewn in a layer of soft cotton wadding and then quilted between the pockets to give a lovely \"puffy\" feel.\n\nI've also sewn a dark red binding strip all the way around the edges to hold all the layers together and added four hanging loops. \n\nAll you need to do is provide your own dowel rod or cane to thread through the loops and then attach a length of ribbon so that you can hang the Advent Calendar from a wall hook.
