I have several orchids flowering on my windowsills but thought it time I had a glass one too so here it is. \r\n\r\nI've cut the orchid from some lovely rose red glass, with slight graduations of shade and a little copper red in the centre for contrast. The leaves are bright green and I've framed with a pretty textured clear glass with more rose on the corners.\r\n\r\nThe suncatcher is in the form of a picture.  \r\nThe orchid fits to the front of the frame in some places to give a 3-dimensional effect and the spaces round the flower are not filled. \r\nThe picture is framed with twisted wire for added strength and neatness.\r\n\r\nThe suncatcher is 15.5 cm square and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top. It shines beautifully when hanging in the light and shows the lovely textures of the glass.\r\n\r\nThis will make a wonderful present for someone else or just for yourself as it is very special and absolutely unique.  \r\n\r\n I never make two pieces exactly the same.
