It's a generous 19.5cm long, so it'll reach to the bottom of a substantial jar. I've coloured the lettering black with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic paint. Hand washing will prolong the pigment life and be kinder to the silver plating than a dishwasher. Any tarnish can be easily removed with a drop of silver polish or one of those impregnated silver-cleaning cloths.
