It's only in the last year or so that I've really started to use pearls in my jewellery, not really knowing much about them I just assumed they'd all be shades of cream or white. I didn't know it was possible to find freshwater pearls that occur naturally in pastel colours, so when I came across this pale lilac strand, I knew they would go well with a tiny sparkle of topaz. \r\nFor these handmade earrings, I've set each pearl on a sterling silver headpin and topped them with a 3mm faceted white topaz stone and sterling silver spacer beads.
