A simple black cotton is used as the main warp, and added to this a multicoloured weft that ranges from lime green - through leaf green, teal and blue - to a purple. The colours come mostly from hand-spun wool, but saori silk ribbons, felted wool, sari silk and dyed fleece are also included - either to blend in or to provide a complemetary pop of colour. Added warps in a white slub cotton provide extra interest in short vertical lines of loops and swirls. The hanging is 88 x 47 cm (excluding the fringe) and weighs 240g; a hanging rod is included.
