Tones of white and grey tile are cut to form the bands of peeling bark and evoke texture. A pathway of fallen leaves in shades of orange and red threads through the mottled white trunks of trees to a wintery white sky.\r\nI use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire. \r\nMeasures   16cm x  21cm x 2.5cm\r\nDue to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only.  \r\nEach wall plaque is one of a kind, but I am able to make more in a similar colour palette on request.
