The leaves are created in shades of green and the berries are cut from brick red tiles and a lovely bright Ruby tile from Emaux de Briare.\r\nMy intricate, hand cut designs are made from beautiful, Winckelmans tiles. These quality porcelain tiles are unglazed and so have a modern matt finish and come in soft muted tones.\r\n\r\nCare information:\r\nThese Mosaic Coasters are built onto a wooden base and backed with cork. They are sealed and can be surface cleaned with a soapy cloth - you can even use a bit of diluted bleach for any stubborn tea stains. But due to the wooden base, the coaster must not be submerged in water as the base will swell and may dislodge the tiles.\r\nBy nature, mosaic is a rough, tactile surface but I have smoothed the coaster edges for comfort.
