Keum boo is an ancient Korean technique of applying a thin sheet of gold to silver.   The earrings have been domed and are a stud fitting which is very comfortable to wear.\r\n\r\nThey have been handmade from sterling silver which has been reticulated to produce an uneven surface.  Gold foil is then applied to the heated silver and pressure applied to it with a burnisher to make the gold adhere to the surface.
