The only bright colour is the gift of Gold. All they key players are present - Mary \u0026 Joseph, the Baby Jesus, the 3 Kings and the Shepherds with their flock (well, two of the sheep anyway!). I have only knitted two of these, so they are very special indeed.\r\n\r\nI didn't design the basic pattern, it's knitted from a pattern by the fabulous Alan Dart, but I have adapted it, to make it unique, by changing the costumes and stitching everything together rather than using glue which may decay over time.  \r\n\r\nThe characters are about 14 cm tall with the animals about 7cm. This will make a lovely window sill decoration for Christmas.  Not suitable as a toy due to the pipe cleaner legs \u0026 crooks, although everything pointy is bent over \u0026 carefully covered.
