The surfite is black on one side and lilac on the other. Surfite is waste resin build up from the surfboard industry and there is an interesting pattern where air bubbles in the black layer were burst and filled by the lilac resin. These studs measure about 9mm across, this is about as small as I can cut them, surfite is lightweight so they won't be heavy in your lobes. Comes gift boxed.\r\nSurfite is a build up of cured resin that forms during surfboard manufacture making these earrings a great gift for a surfer. I cut this particular material myself (by hand because I couldn't find a band saw big enough!!!) and you can see the original block and a work in progress shot in the photos (the rough isn't included), the rough material came from Toy Factory Surfboards in Newquay, Cornwall.
